THE SUN NEWSPAPER GETS IN WRONG.
Page 21 of today’s Sun Newspaper - I must point out some serious errors that have been published that could have an adverse effect in our hard efforts in fund raising and to spend as much quality time with our daughter Caitlin.
My daughter has been diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called Sanfilippo Syndrome; the syndrome is genetic that does not enable her cells to break down her natural sugars resulting in organ failure and eventually a very painful death.
Our house is a 2 bedroom concrete ex council house bought in 2000 – we have just accepted on offer on the Property – we stand to make nothing on the selling of the house – the statement of us having sold our 3 bedroom house for £230K could be very damaging to our efforts.
The statement that I am a tool hire firm executive is also incorrect, I work as Admin Clerk at a Hydraulics firm in Birmingham, where I work all the hours overtime I can to boost my wages to make ends meet – the statement that I am an executive could also be very damaging, the great people of Britain will find it hard to donate to our cause if they believe I am an executive living in a £230K house - Similarly Emma was never a Bank Manager, she was a bank clerk with salary to match!
Please don’t think I am ungrateful and appreciate the piece but my colleagues at work have created a fund raising team, they meet up in their own time and work hard on creating fund raising ideas to generate money for the cause.
Any publicity that brings this condition to the public eye is of course good! The publicity is great in the biggest and best national newspaper around but I need to point out the important facts.
